The first one I saw was with C. He was walking with me down the street near a college campus when I spotted a flying object. I could make out that it looked like a flying person, but it’s head was rather large and pointed, almost like that of a pterodactyl. lt had no other distinguishing features on its body, which was liquid black. It had large, yellow-green transparent wings. It was silent. We were both in awe and frightened at the same time as we saw it soaring overhead. We were paralyzed, staring up at the sky. No sooner did we notice it than it noticed us and swooped down from the sky. It landed on the ground and turned into what appeared to be a huge, rabid grey wolf. It was nighttime now and the surrounding city lights were blurry in my periphery. We tried to run but it had landed right in front of us and we had both fallen over, terrified. We realized we had to run and started getting up, but it’s teeth grabbed hold of C’s pant leg and part of his foot. It was foaming at the mouth. I pulled and pulled helped C get free. We immediately hopped into a passing cab, escaping. Another person was in the back of the cab, maybe it was an Uber plus. The cabby was really nice. He was an older, heavy set man with a slight combover, and a heavy Romanov accent. In the busy streets, we saw people in their cars stopped in traffic, looking up at the sky in awe. I saw a business man looking up from his phone in a car nearby, as he observed one. He looked like he was in shock. Back in the cab we were looking for tools and weapons to defend ourselves with. For some reason all we had were sculpting tools that possibly came out of my purse. They looked like steel dental tools. The cabby gave us a couple of his dental tools too, but they were made of a metal that wasn’t very strong, like aluminum. It bent in my hand but I still thanked him. He was really kind to us. I offered to give him back his “weapons” because he would need something to fight them off with and he refused. Me, C and the other person in the back of the Uber talked about needing real knives and I mentioned I really needed to sharpen mine when I got home. We discussed whether or not the knife would cut deep enough to kill the things. Finally we got to my house. I didn’t catch a full glimpse of the house. As soon as we got there, the cabby let us out as close to the front door as possible, wished us luck, and told us to run. It was a walk up, and the door had been wrapped in a sparkling American flag decoration, red white and blue. We all ran up into the house and it was a nice apartment I hadn’t seen before. The layout was open; a kitchen island in the center, and a spacious living space where the party was being hosted. I knew there were rooms in the back and thought about going into one of them to find my knife and sharpen it, but I didn’t. The “in-laws” were sitting at a round wooden table near the front of the home, but looked nothing like C’s family or anyone I knew. I was holding pink and white flowers. One of the "in-laws" was a relatively young brunette, and she was eyeing the flowers I held in my hand. I think she thought I would give the flowers to her, but I went to the kitchen and placed them in a cup of water that already had some flowers in it. I was trying to warn my mom that we encountered something strange and dangerous, and asked her if she saw “them” yet. I didn’t want to disrupt the party but I was concerned. C came over and encouraged me to wait to talk about it another time because we were safe now. He gave me a warm hug, but all I could think about was my Dad and keeping him safe. I walked over to the other side of the room where a few folks were gathered, including my Dad, and I just couldn’t get the fear of those flying creatures off my mind. Finally I went up to my Dad and said. “Just look at the sky, please!” And he walked over to the giant picture window. The sky was orangey white, as the sun was going down, and there was a silhouette of a distant city on the horizon. We saw an airplane, and perhaps a bird pass by. Then I said, “There! Do you see it!? Look!” And there it was. It had large, thin dragon wings; yellowish, lacey and transparent. The wingspan was incredible. It had a body that was large but human-like in form and purely silhouetted, inky black. It had that somewhat sharp headshape, reminiscent of an ancient flying dinosaur or an archetypal demon. I couldn’t make out any other features. It looked both majestic and horrible as it soared above the setting sun. It looked like it was carrying something tattered - was that a piece of its last prey? Shredded flesh? People were crowding the window now to see it, and I had been pointing with my index finger, tapping at the glass. Suddenly, the thing saw us. Still several yards away, it swooped down a few feet to position its body straight on to face us. As it hovered there, time stopped as I saw it’s beady black eyes for a split second and we locked eyes. It instantly flew towards me, covering a great distance quickly, and crashed through the window dramatically as glass shattered everywhere. Most of us scrambled out of the way. I noticed the sun had set and it was dark out now. It rolled onto the ground, taking someone out as it landed. Everyone was screaming. It started attacking that someone, eating them. I didn’t get to see who was being attacked, or if the creature had changed into a wolf again. I woke up with my heart pounding.
